Our veteran leader Com.R.Rajeswaran, A.G.M Mayiladuthurai retires on superannuation today. He joined in the department on 09-04-1979 and rendered his valuable service for  36 years. He played many vital roles in the department. He served for our beloved company BSNL and our organization    SNEA (I) with devotion. He is a good administrator who dealt many complicated problems and solved diplomatically. He maintained a good rapport with the SSA administration.  Com.Rajeswaran is serving with commitment and dedication for 36 years in our association JETA(I), JTOA(I), TEOA(I) and SNEA(I) under different capacity as District Secretary and CWC member. 
                   Comrade, may your retired life be filled with happiness and accomplishment in all endeavours. We thank you for your unparalleled dedication & devotion. Wish you all the best on your retirement.

         Comrades, start mobilization for the Dharna on 07.05.2015 and Relay Hunger strike from 19^th to 21^st May, 2015 for the settlement of following cadre issues.  Harder programmes will follow in case issues are not settled by that time.

Demands:

·   Standard Pay scales of E2, E3, ---- for JTO/JAO, SDE/AO etc upto SGJAG. No demotion of the basic cadres JTO and SDE.

·        Time Bound Functional Promotion between 4 - 6 years.

·        Settlement of Pay Anomalies, antedating etc.

·        First TBP uniformly after 4 years w.e.f 01.10.2000.

·        Upgraded pay scales w.e.f 01.10.2000 and amendments of RRs for Civil/Elect/Arch wings.

Employees on 2^nd day of strike

           It is a Do or Die battle for the employees. It is going to decide the future of BSNL and the future of the employees. Participate enmasse, Make it a grand success by 100% participation. 

BSNL employees on strike 

            The two days strike started at 00 Hrs throughout BSNL. All Union /Assn participating in the strike to save BSNL.             Comrades, it is a Do or Die battle for the employees. So participate en mass, make it a grand success by 100% participation. Close down BSNL for 2 days. Stage demonstration outside all offices.
            Strike reports from all units to be reached CO with 100% participation. 

Main demands are 

a. Refund Rs 9000 to BSNL on account of BWA spectrum, excess pension contribution, USO Subsidy, salary of employees deputed to TERM Cell etc.
b. Transfer of land and asset from DoT to BSNL.
c. Compensate loss making Rural services.
d. No subsidiary formation.
e. No merger of BSNL and MTNL without addressing contentious issues.
f. Allow BSNL spectrum trading.
g. Expand BSNL network.
h. Extend financial assistance to BSNL for expansion.
i. Pension revision for BSNL pensioners.
j. Superannuation benefit to BSNL recruited employees.

Strike on 21^st, 22^nd April, 2015.

             Success of the strike going to decide the future of BSNL and the future of the employees.

              The strike is not for any monetary benefit, but to protect our company, to protect our job. In order to protect our company, we have to make the strike on 21^st and 22^nd April a grand success. It should be an eye opener to the Govt. All the issues pertaining to the Govt to be addressed in a time bound manner. Simultaneously issues related to retirement benefits like 30% superannuation benefit and automatic pension revision also to be settled. It is a do or die situation for us.

Meeting with CMD, BSNL on 17-04-2015. 

          CMD invited Forum leaders for a meeting to discuss on the charter of demands. A detail discussion for more than 3 hours held mainly on BSNL related issues. CMD informed that he requested DoT also to have a meeting with Forum to discuss issues related to Govt. Since Secretary, DoT is on tour along with PM, meeting may take place only after his return on monday . Smt Sujata Ray, ED Fin, Sr GMSR, GM Pers, GM Estt and GM Admn were also present in the meeting. Comrades, since most of the issues are related to Govt which are yet to be addressed, make maximum preparations for the strike on 21, 22 April.

Strike on 21^st, 22^nd April, 2015.

Massive preparations to be made in the next few days by door to door campaign and conducting combined meeting of Forum at all the exchanges/locations. The employees on leave should cancel their leave and join duty on 21^st and 22^nd to participate in the strike.

Since settlement of issues going to decide the future of BSNL and the employees, 100% participation and success of the strike only will compel the Govt to start negotiations and settlement of issues in the coming days.
