SNEA TN NEWS-United Forum -demonstration 9/7/2013

    Forum of BSNL unions and Associations has decided to organise Lunch hour demonstration on 9th July 2013 at Circle / SSA headquarters opposing the increase of FDI from 74% to 100% in Telecom sector and also extending support and solidarity to the NLC workers on strike from 03-07-13 against the disinvestment of Neyveli Lignite corporation. Make the programme a great and resounding success.

              04.07.2013  -  Massive Demonstration was held at  Telephone Exchange Kumbakonam, by all Unions/Associations as per call given by United forum , for expressing our moral support in favour of striking Neyveli Lignite Corporation Employees/executives.

              Their struggle is against Govt.of India against Disinvestment of NLC shares. Though NLC had paid more than Rs.1500 crores as Net revenue profit for the current year, there is no need to disinvest its 5% share for estimated value of Rs.450 crores.

                  This is the first step towards Disinvestment of all Public sectors and it should have been opposed or else all national wealth will go to Private companies hands. Hence our United Forum extending moral support to NLC work force.

                We will give our solidarity support for all such actions in future which is very much essential now a days.

At last the promotions & posting orders for LDCE passed candidates have come out successfully after the hectic persuasion of our GS Com.K.Sebastin, CHQ president Com.G.L.Jogi & CHQ office bearers of SNEA(I) by handling the court cases effectively and having continuous & perfect negotiations with the BSNL Management.This is the FIRST STEP towards our long pending promotional issues.Our next focus is on SDE to DE(Adhoc/Regular),JTO to SDE (Seniority cum fitness) promotions. 

At this juncture,on behalf of 2500 members of our SNEA(I),TN Circle organization, We wholeheartedly thank our beloved GS Com.K.SEBASTIN and our team of CHQ office bearers, especially Com.Arvind Pal Dahiya AGS and Com.Rajan,CHQ Treasurer and finally our Veteran leader Com.G.L.JOGI,our CHQ President.

On our part, we have actually crossed the MAXIMUM LIMIT, in settling the individual cases & Pending Request Transfers. On behalf of our CHQ & SNEA(I),TN Circle,I assure that it will continue in future also.

Now,it is the right time to thank our CGMs of TN Circle,STP & STR, all senior officers and the concerned officers and staff of the STAFF SECTION. I recollect the memories with our GOD FATHER Com.W.Seshagiri Rao and I assure that We will always follow his footprints and say "ALL FAME GOES TO SNEA(I)" only.

            JTO(T) to SDE(T) promotion orders issued for 

2380 JTOs under 33% LDCE quota for the vacancy

 years  2006-07, 2007-08, 2008-09 and 2009-10;

 For remaining JTOs posting order will be issued 

on receipt of VCs by corporate office..

                       GS received lot of queries regarding

 the LDCE marks, how fraction like 172.03, 142.92

 etc happened. CHQ already reported that as per the 

direction of Hon PCAT, BSNL revaluated both Paper

 I & II. In Paper I, the total mark is 99 after deleting 

one question and in Paper II, the marks are 100, 97, 96 

etc for different subjects. Rect Cell made the marks 

out of 100 for all the subjects.

New Delhi, 22 more JTOs passed

 the LDCE and 119 JTOs who had

 declared passed in the result

 declared last year, failed. 

Net result of long one year litigation
 is that all of them lost one year 
service as SDE and 119 JTOs (net 97)
 failed in the LDCE. If no court case
was there, LDCEs for the subsequent 
years also would have conducted by
 this time and another 4000 JTOs 
would have got promotions as SDE.

BSNL will become leading operator

 again: CMD

  

Dharamshala: State-run BSNL is
expanding network capacity and it will become a leading telecom
operator again, its Chairman and Managing Director R K Upadhyay
 said Monday.

"We lagged behind other private companies, as we could not purchase
 the required equipment in the last 4-5 years due to many reasons.
Now everything is OK and tenders to purchase has been floated,"
 he told reporters here.

"BSNL has planned a Rs 40,000 crore capital for the purpose,"
he added.

He also said that the company is emphasising on converting present 
telephone exchanges into New Generation network NGN, to give 
all mobile facilities to land line subscribers.

"29,000 such exchanges shall be converted to NGN of which 28,000
 are in the rural sector," he said.

On cutting costs, Upadhyay said the PSU is awaiting government's
 approval for offering VRS to employees.

"BSNL is spending 52 percent of its capital in employees salaries
as compared to other competitive companies who are just
spending 5-6 percent," he said.

On resumption of network in flood-ravaged Uttrakhand, he
 said: "70 telephone exchanges were affected in Uttrakhand 
tragedy and only 7 are to be restored now.. All the 
400 towers are now working there."

He said that BSNL could respond to 4000 calls to
 give last location of lost persons through their cell
phones record in last seven days.

He also said that the remote areas of Himachal shall be 
connected through Microwave so that fibre cable 
disconnection in bad conditions could be avoided.
